A bit about us :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced Finance team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in accounting and finance, with a focus on the implementation and application of ASC 842, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Expense Accruals, and Financial Statement Preparation. This is a permanent, full-time position that requires a minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in the finance industry.

Responsibilities :

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a broad range of financial activities, including :

1. General accounting functions, including, but not limited to : accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.

2. Coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, instituting and maintaining other planning and control procedures, and analyzing and reporting variances.

3. Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.

4. Ensuring compliance with ASC 842 lease accounting standards.

5. Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for accuracy and completeness.

6. Managing and tracking the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines.

7. Leading the charge towards periodic financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.

8. Preparing and posting monthly journal entries, ensuring all business transactions are recorded.

9. Monitoring and analyzing department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Qualifications :

To be considered for the Accounting Manager position, you must have the following :

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is strongly preferred.

2. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry.

3. Strong knowledge of GAAP and ASC 842 lease accounting standards.

4. Proficiency in managing the general ledger, preparing and posting journal entries, and handling expense accruals.

5. Proven ability to prepare accurate financial statements and reports.

6. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

7. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and engage teams.

8. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially in Excel, and accounting software.

9. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
