DH Legal Ops is managing the hiring process on behalf of our client, a respected law firm in Delray Beach, FL. The firm is seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal to join their in-house team. This role will provide comprehensive paralegal support to attorneys in probate, trust administration, and estate-related matters, while also handling client intake and serving as a professional, reliable point of contact for both prospective and existing clients.
Position Overview :
The Probate Paralegal will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of estate planning and probate cases, including drafting and filing legal documents, maintaining deadlines, and facilitating communication between attorneys, courts, and clients. In addition, this role will include client intake responsibilities and answering inbound calls from prospective new clients (PNCs) and repeat clients, ensuring a welcoming and professional client experience.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage client intake, including gathering information, opening files, and preparing initial case documentation.
- Answer inbound calls from prospective and repeat clients, providing professional and empathetic communication.
- Draft, prepare, and file probate pleadings, petitions, notices, inventories, accountings, and other related documents.
- Handle e-filing with Florida courts and ensure compliance with applicable rules and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files (electronic and physical).
- Track deadlines, court dates, and key case milestones.
- Communicate with clients, courts, financial institutions, and beneficiaries on behalf of attorneys.
- Assist attorneys in hearing preparation, case strategy, and document review.
- Draft correspondence, memoranda, and probate-related reports.
- Support billing and time-entry processes for probate matters.
Qualifications :
