Aligned with Allstate's Shared Purpose, the Corporate Tax Department is committed to delivering high-quality service to our stakeholders-including the Finance Leadership Team, business segments, and regulatory bodies-by providing accurate tax reporting and insightful analysis to support after-tax business performance. Our mission is to build a best-in-class tax function through operational excellence, strong controls, a high-performing team, and advanced data and technology capabilities.

Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President, Chief Tax Officer, the Head of Tax Operations will lead Allstate's income tax financial reporting and compliance functions. This role oversees federal tax operations, including tax projections, provision processes, and return filings. The Director will also spearhead a tax transformation initiative aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing controls. This leader will play a key role in supporting tax planning and strategy execution to optimize post-tax earnings across the enterprise. This position leads a team of approximately five tax professionals and a team of external consultants.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Projections

• Lead the external advisors in a tax managed services operating model
• Oversee GAAP and STAT tax provisions in coordination with external advisors and Finance, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, regulatory, and management reporting standards.
• Manage external audit processes related to tax reporting.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Section 404.
• Oversee tax-related financial disclosures, including 10-K, 10-Q, NAIC statements, and standalone audits.
• Validate tax assets and liabilities, including valuation allowance assessments.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $171,000.00 - 230,250.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
