Warehouse Lead
The Warehouse Lead, reporting to the Supervisor / Assistant Operations Manager, will assist in coordinating all daily warehousing activities for assigned areas. This position will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Supervisor with training, assigning, scheduling, and communicating job expectations. This position works Sunday through Thursday, from 4pm-12 : 45am. The compensation for this position is $20 / hour.
Your Day-to-Day :
- Oversees the daily department production activity and ensures all area targets are met.
- Provides guidance to assigned associates and directs the day to day workflow of the assigned area.
- Assumes supervisor responsibilities in the event of the Supervisors absence.
- Trains employees and temporary staff on all standard operating processes and procedures.
- Articulates customer concerns and operational issues to their direct supervisor / manager in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assists with maintaining accurate physical inventories.
- Recommends and implements process improvements for assigned areas of the operation.
- Assesses assigned warehouse operations daily to ensure the warehouse is neat, secure and well organized.
- Actively participates and may hold start up meetings for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Ensures the safety of associates at all times.
- Performs all duties of the warehouse associate as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
What You Bring to the Table :
High school diploma / GED strongly preferredPowered industrial equipment experience preferredExperience must demonstrate a strong working knowledge of warehouse operations and policies and procedures.Working knowledge of Microsoft business applications such as Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and warehouse management systems preferred.Experience must demonstrate the ability to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines. Strong emphasis on organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to read, write and communicate in English (Bilingual Spanish / English skills preferred).Must be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this classification.
