We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven engineering leader to guide a team of software, data, and AI engineers in developing innovative, scalable solutions that transform the healthcare technology landscape. In this role, you will drive the design and deployment of advanced AI systems, shaping the strategic direction of intelligent features and products. Accountabilities :
As the AI Engineering Manager, you will :
- Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed team of software, data, and AI engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of AI and data solutions that enhance product intelligence and user productivity.
- Partner with leadership to shape the roadmap, drive key initiatives, and ensure the engineering organization can scale effectively.
- Guide technical teams through architectural discussions and ensure adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and DevOps.
- Manage operational efficiency, incident response, and customer escalations while maintaining focus on roadmap commitments.
- Encourage open collaboration across teams, ensuring alignment between engineering, product, and business objectives.
- Promote continuous improvement through coaching, feedback, and process optimization.
- Champion innovation and experimentation with cutting-edge technologies in AI, cloud infrastructure, and data platforms.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should bring :
8–10 years of experience in software or data engineering, including 3–5 years in a leadership or management role.At least 4 years of experience in applied ML / AI engineering or academic research in related areas.Strong expertise with Databricks , Mosaic AI Gateway , and associated tools within modern data / AI stacks.Proven experience with language models , generative AI , RAG , SQL Agents , and agentic workflows .Proficiency in Python , TensorFlow or PyTorch , and deep knowledge of scalable ML architecture.Strong software engineering skills, including testing, debugging, code review, and CI / CD practices.Experience building and managing distributed, data-intensive systems processing large-scale datasets.Familiarity with cloud infrastructure , security frameworks , and AI architecture best practices.Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.A proactive, hands-on leadership style with a passion for developing people and advancing AI innovation.Bonus : Experience with Snowflake , FHIR , or exposure to healthcare data environments.Benefits
