Role Summary : Beyond the Call Center
As a Customer Service & Operations Specialist, you'll manage the entire order lifecycle and be a central figure in improving the customer experience and driving operational efficiency. You'll move beyond simple order entry to participate in value-added projects that lead to overall business improvement and cost savings.
Key Responsibilities : The Core of the Role
Customer & Sales Support :
Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer inquiries, order processing, and complaint resolution.Accurately process and place customer orders on a timely basis, including managing purchase orders.Maintain and update required daily reports and forward essential confirmations (Order Acknowledgements, ASN, and COAs) to customers.Coordinate with accounting for credit form approvals and assist sales personnel with account needs.Maintain accurate and organized customer files.Operational & Logistics Management :
Actively manage and maintain inventory levels for all required inventoried items.Oversee the drop trailer program, actively providing recommendations to boost efficiency and reduce costs.Process new product items, which includes collecting the New Item Checklist (NIC) documentation and coordinating the approval meeting.Submit paperwork for tooling orders (cutting die / print plates) to the supporting plant.Coordinate with warehouse supervision to preemptively avoid problems between the warehouse and the customer.Develop strong, working relationships across all warehouse departments / managers and assist other warehouse locations as needed.Candidate Profile : What You Bring
Essential Qualifications :
Education : High school diploma or GED.Experience : Five years of proven experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.Technical Skills : Demonstrate foundational, practical proficiency with modern business software and data management systems.Technical Acumen : Strong computer literacy with solid skills in MS Office, including Word and Excel, and strong data entry ability.Communication Skills : Excellent communication skillsboth written and verbalwith the ability to write business reports, present before groups, and effectively interpret complex business / performance reports, operating manuals, and training materials.Problem-Solving : Strong reasoning ability to carry out complex instructions and solve a variety of problems where limited information or standardization exists.Mathematical Skills : Ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and calculate figures such as discounts, costs, proportions, and volumes.Leadership Attributes : Possess superior time management skills with the ability to manage multiple issues concurrently and demonstrate a professional and confident demeanor.Highly Preferred (The Extras That Makes You Stand Out) :
