The San Francisco office of SmithGroup is looking for a Senior Interior Designer to join our team.

Working with us, you will :

• Lead the design efforts for all stages of a project, including leadership with the client , contractors, and internal team.
• Assist in management of projects through developing project scope , schedules, job production, quality, and fee management.
• Lead programming, conceptualization, development and integration of strategic design solutions.
• Consult with manufacturers, research and evaluate materials.
• Document architectural drawings.
• Assist in construction administration including responding to RFI's, preparing sketches and addenda (CCD's), and visiting the construction site to gather information and / or prepare a punch list.
• Oversee the design work of others to ensure integrated and cohesive design, supervise preparation of drawings for all project phases, and ensure guidelines, quality control, standards and details.
• Lead all phases of the design process including programming and developing workplace standards.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in performance coaching.
• Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process as requested.
