Senior Data Engineer - Federal (Remote - US)

This role offers the opportunity to design, build, and deploy data-centric and AI-driven enterprise applications for federal clients. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, cloud architecture, and GenAI / LLM workflows, ensuring high-performance, scalable, and compliant solutions. The position involves hands-on pipeline development, data validation, and automation, as well as technical leadership, mentoring, and client engagement. Working onsite part-time, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions, support proposals, and lead demos and trainings. Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL / ELT pipelines to ingest, process, and validate data from multiple sources.
• Integrate new data sources seamlessly into existing pipelines.
• Implement automated data validation frameworks and monitor data quality, lineage, and performance.
• Architect solutions across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and support LLM training and inference workflows.
• Develop data preprocessing pipelines for GenAI use cases while ensuring security, privacy, and compliance (e.g., FedRAMP).
• Lead development teams, mentor junior engineers, and provide technical guidance on enterprise application projects.
• Deliver customer-facing presentations, demos, deep-dives, and training sessions on data and AI solutions.
• Support proposal and technical documentation efforts with subject-matter expertise in data engineering and AI / ML.
