The Village of Glenwood is seeking an experienced and energetic Banquet Events Manager to lead operations at our Glenwoodie Golf Course restaurant, clubhouse bar, and banquet facility. Reporting directly to the Village Administrator, this individual will oversee all aspects of event management—from marketing and customer engagement to staff supervision and on-site execution.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities include promoting and booking events, coordinating with vendors, managing budgets, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences from start to finish.

Candidates should have at least four (4) years of experience in the food and beverage industry, including two (2) years in a supervisory or event management role. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required. The salary is $60,000 annually (commensurate with experience).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Market the banquet facility to promote and increase new business through additional banquet rentals.
• Coordinate with food vendors to plan and execute high-quality events that meet customer needs.
• Manage the preparation, setup, and breakdown of all banquet halls.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and referrals.
• Oversee all aspects of event planning, from initial booking to event completion, ensuring smooth operations.
• Review all customer contracts to ensure all details are accurate and align with customer requests.
• Monitor budgets and expenses related to banquet operations to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and support to banquet, food, and beverage staff to maintain service standards.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations, local ordinances, and sanitation practices.
• Supervise and schedule employees as required to ensure compliance with all applicable laws, codes, and sanitary practices.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of banquet events, including scheduling, payments, and post-event evaluations.
• Prepare regular reports for the Village Administrator regarding banquet facility performance and revenues.
• Manage staffing needs and oversee banquet operations, ensuring optimal customer experience and operational efficiency.
• Supervise menu planning and ordering for all food and beverage operations within the clubhouse bar and restaurant.
