Position Overview
We’re looking for a Plant Manager to lead all aspects of operations at our Elwood, KS manufacturing facility. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving performance across multiple departments.

What You’ll Do Leadership & Culture
Be a visible, active presence on the production floor—coaching, mentoring, and empowering your team.
Drive a performance-based, safety-first culture grounded in teamwork, respect, and accountability.
Set clear expectations, celebrate wins, and continuously raise the bar.
Build trust and alignment across all shifts and departments to ensure goals are not just met—but exceeded.
Operations Management
Lead all plant functions with a focus on delivering quality products on time and at the right cost.
Implement Lean, QRM (Quick Response Manufacturing), and Just-in-Time principles to maximize throughput and minimize waste.
Scale production efficiently and optimize facility layout to support growing customer demand.
Ensure all safety and compliance standards.
Performance & Improvement
Champion a culture of continuous improvement across processes, systems, and people.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational execution with business strategy.
Drive KPIs and operational metrics—productivity, OEE, quality, on-time delivery, and cost reduction.
Utilize process engineering knowledge to improve workflows, tooling, and efficiency.
Team Development & Management
Lead, develop, and inspire a multi-disciplinary operations team.
Oversee staffing, training, performance evaluations, and career development.
Actively engage in hiring and talent planning to build a resilient, high-performing team.
Requirements :
Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing plant or industrial production environment (3–5+ years)
A Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, or related field
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials management, and ERP systems (Syspro experience is a plus)
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, improve operations, and build scalable processes
Excellent problem-solving, planning, and communication skills
High integrity, strong work ethic, and a passion for team success
Self-starter mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
