The Payroll and Benefits Specialist will help ensure Yugoers are paid accurately and have access to benefits that support their well-being in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the US People Director; here's what you'll be doing :

• Payroll Administration : Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now.
• Validate and enter payroll data, ensuring correct wages, bonuses, deductions, and tax withholdings in accordance with policy and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with People & Culture, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve payroll issues.
• Conduct routine payroll audits and generate reports for internal stakeholders and auditors.
• Reconcile discrepancies and ensure timely year-end tax document distribution (e.g., W-2s).
• Benefits Administration : Support employee benefits programs including enrollments, changes, and terminations. Liaise with brokers, vendors, and ADP benefits support to manage inquiries, eligibility, and compliance.
• Provide timely and accurate information to employees during onboarding, open enrollment, and throughout the year.
• Assist with leave management and coordinate benefits impact and communication.
• Maintain accurate records of all benefits activity.
• Compliance & Process Improvement : Ensure compliance with multi-state tax regulations, labor laws, and internal policies.
• Maintain payroll-related tax setups and coordinate with relevant jurisdictions on tax filings.
• Partner with internal and external stakeholders to support audits, benefits renewals, and process enhancements.
• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in payroll and benefits operations.
• Draft and update relevant process documentation and policies as needed.
• Employee Support : Respond to employee inquiries regarding pay, taxes, and benefits with clarity and care.
• Educate employees on payroll timelines, deduction policies, and benefit offerings.
• Serve as a trusted and confidential resource for all payroll and benefit-related matters.
