MediaNews Group is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team! This position is responsible for credit and collections activities and will assist in billing, cash receipts, and other accounting tasks as needed.

Work schedule will be 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm MST / 10 : 00 am - 7 : 00 pm EST, Monday-Friday. Some overtime and weekends may be required on rare occasions.

This is a remote role but you must reside in Ohio or Colorado.

What you will do :

• Monitor A / R aging and customer accounts to minimize past due accounts
• Perform customer credit analysis as needed
• Initiate collection calls, emails, faxes and letters
• Work with Circulation and Advertising Managers on escalating collection actions
• Distribute A / R aging reports and discuss issues with Circulation and Advertising Managers
• Use and maintain A / R collections module in Circulation and Advertising System(s)
• Perform Customer revenue and A / R trend analysis
• Take initiative to refine procedures, use tact and diplomacy in servicing the client and communicating with others and demonstrate ethical behavior

The hourly wage is $17.75. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to geographic location, education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, the Company offers eligible employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, 401k, as well as paid time off and select paid holidays (all benefits are based on eligibility).
