Trusts & Estates Attorney - Durham

Sands Anderson is seeking a Trusts & Estates Attorney to join our team in Durham, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance on estate planning, trust administration, and related matters. They will work closely with clients to develop strategies for managing their assets and ensuring their estate plans align with their wishes and legal requirements. This is a great opportunity for a junior attorney to step in to a well-run, sophisticated and robust Trusts & Estates team. In this role, you will be introduced to long standing firm clients and assist more senior attorneys meet client needs and deadlines.

Qualifications :

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in the state of North Carolina
• 6+ years of experience in trusts and estates law
• Strong knowledge of estate planning, trust administration, and tax laws
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
• Willing to be part of firm succession planning initiatives
