Accounting Assistant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract basis in Danvers, Massachusetts. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting accounting operations and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, proficient in financial processes, and comfortable working with accounting software.
Responsibilities :
Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
Process and code invoices for timely and accurate payments.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions effectively.
Record and track incoming bills and ensure proper documentation.
Draft and format fee letters and other financial correspondence.
Review and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate entries.
Assist in preparing and processing purchase orders.
Take detailed meeting notes and organize them for future reference.
Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting functions and data management.
Requirements :
Proven experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.
Strong ability to perform bank reconciliations with accuracy.
Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks.
Experience in coding invoices and maintaining financial records.
Familiarity with reviewing and maintaining general ledger accounts.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a contract position.
