Overview
Kimley-Horn's Orlando, Florida (FL) office is seeking an Experienced Electrical Engineer OR Engineer in Training with 2+ years of Substation Protection & Controls experience to join their Power Delivery team.
Responsibilities
- Support P&C design project deliverables, ranging from 4kV up to 500kV, with emphasis on 115kV and above.
- Produce detailed substation P&C design packages compliant with required client and national technical standards. Core design responsibilities include :
- One-line diagrams
- Three-line diagrams
- Potential and current schematics
- Control and indication schematics
- Communication interconnections
- Wiring diagrams
- Equipment sizing and specifications
- I / O mapping
- Construction documentation / outage sequencing
- Procurement and construction support
Qualifications
2+ years of protection & control engineering design experience in the electricity transmission & distribution sectorETAP experience is a plusBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced degrees are a plus)EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months requiredProficient with MicroStation and / or AutoCADI / O mappingConstruction documentation / outage sequencingSuperior verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently or in a team environmentAbility to work in a fast-paced, challenging environmentWhy Kimley-Horn?
