Overview
This position will be responsible for general duties, including administrative and logistical support for Community-Engaged Learning and its initiatives under the supervision of the Community Engaged Learning Associate Director and at the direction of the strategic plan task force. This position will also collaborate with campus partners, as well as develop and maintain relationships with outside agencies to implement preparedness efforts.
Responsibilities
Mission Driven Community Engaged Efforts
Under the direction of the Director and Assistant Director :
- Create, implement, and maintain policy and program documentation related to warehouse operations, safety, security, and continuity of operations during emergencies.
- Write training curriculum and reports, conduct training and exercises, and write after-action incident reports as the department sets up the new warehouse.
- Support the implementation of community-engaged research tasks by preparing materials and working directly with the various departments represented at the task force to come up with data requirements, schedule meetings, and any other logistical duties as assigned.
- Coordinate the Community Engagement activities in EVMSEngage and organize and maintain Subgroup pages in collaboration with stakeholders and various EVMS departments.
- Interact and correspond with the various departments identified for the CEC to collect and input data into the community engagement database.
- Provide on-site meeting support for activities and initiatives as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Community Engaged Logistics
Manage some logistics for Community Engaged Learning Meetings which includes :Coordinating the logistics for the Community Engaged Learning annual meetings i.e. Annual Kick Off, Annual Appreciation Lunch and Fair :Room reservations and completing all Events Team requirements (Materials Management, Housekeeping, and room layout needs).Sending out invites and save the dates.Ordering and pick up of linens, Whitebook and Bluebook, T-Shirts, and Poster Boards for Fair.Ordering gifts and awards, organizing them, and creating gift packets for all events.Distribute and maintain Community Engaged Learning equipment and tools like the health fair kits and iPads which entails :Ensuring iPads are always charged and up to date.Processing annual requisitions for plan payments :Checking in and checking out health kits and ordering and adding inventory as needed.Coordinating with student leaders equipment check in and check out for bi-weekly health fairs and events.Maintaining warehouse storage closets and cabinet spaces and charging cart.Ordering and running monthly controls on the A1C machines :Keeping a log of equipment use and inventory.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications
Associate Degree plus at least three (3) years' experience in administrative support. Previous experience conducting training exercises is desired. Computer experience including word processing and spreadsheets required.
