Job Summary
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be the frontline expert ensuring equipment operates at peak efficiency. You'll perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational success. This position involves extensive travel (80–100%) and requires someone who thrives in dynamic environments.
Job Duties
- Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex equipment.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute preventive maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Analyze and resolve both mechanical and automation malfunctions, escalating issues when needed.
- Support production teams post-maintenance to restore systems to peak efficiency.
- Review system performance and implement approved operational improvements.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support for escalated claims, including root cause analysis.
- Travel nationwide to customer sites, including occasional emergency service calls.
Qualifications
Associate's degree in Engineering (electrical or mechanical).3–5 years of technical / equipment / machinery experience in a service-based industry.Strong troubleshooting experience with both mechanical and automation systems.Knowledge of packaging lines, equipment manufacturing, or aseptic / food packaging is a plus.Fluent in English; bilingual (Spanish and / or German).Must reside near a major airport and be available for 80%+ travel (domestic & international).Excellent communication and customer service skills.Compensation & Perks
