Our client, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their team. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be part of the technical support team, providing essential assistance to customers and ensuring the optimal performance of CNC machine tools. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Location : Hoffman Estates, Illinois (Remote) - Travel to Client Locations

Pay Range : $83,000 - $115,000

Responsibilities

Provide customers with maintenance, repair, and installation assistance for CNC machine tools on location or via telephone.
Create and update documentation of technical information and generate ongoing reports related to service.
Collaborate with Customer Service Engineers to assist in the installation and maintenance of newer product lines.
Establish and maintain exemplary communication and customer service relationships with clients.
Manage challenging customer situations positively and solicit feedback to enhance service quality.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in a technical field is preferred.

3-5 years of experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of CNC machine tools.

Familiarity with CNC machines, particularly Fanuc, Mitsubishi, and / or Siemens controls is a plus.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.

Ability to read mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and PLC ladder diagrams.
