Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the current school year with the opportunity to continue into the 2025-2026 academic year. This role supports K-12 students in a variety of classroom settings within an Illinois public school environment. Candidates with a valid Illinois Learning Behavioral Specialist I (LBSI) and Professional Educator License (PEL) will be considered.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), providing life skills instruction, and delivering specialized support tailored to diverse student needs. This position requires collaboration with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure student progress and a positive learning experience. The teacher will serve students across elementary and high school levels, adapting instructional strategies to meet each students unique learning goals.
