JOB SUMMARY :
We are seeking a highly skilled Paralegal to provide comprehensive legal support to the General Counsel and business teams. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with significant experience in commercial contract review and drafting, as well as claims management. This individual will play a key role in managing the company’s contracting workflow, supporting litigation and claims, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The preferred candidate will have :
- Extensive commercial contracts experience (MSAs, SOWs, NDAs, vendor / customer agreements, etc.)
- Strong background in claims review and insurance defense, including managing outside counsel and litigation files
- Ability to independently handle contract lifecycle management, including drafting, redlining, and post-execution performance monitoring
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear professional communication
- Paralegal certification (preferred)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Contract Management & Commercial Support
Draft, review and redline a wide range of commercial agreementsManage full contract lifecycle processes, from initiation through execution and renewal / terminationMonitor contract compliance and performance, ensuring obligations are tracked and documentedMaintain and improve the company’s contract management system, templates, and knowledge repositoriesClaims & Litigation Management
Support General Counsel in handling claims managementCoordinate with insurers, adjusters, and outside counsel to ensure timely handling of claimsAssist with case management for active litigation, including research, discovery, and trial / arbitration preparationReview and analyze claim files, prepare reports, and recommend strategies for resolution or defense.Administrative & Organizational Support
Build and maintain organized databases and legal filesPrepare written reports, correspondence, and presentationsProvide broad support for corporate and strategic projectsConfidentiality
Maintain strict confidentiality of company and client information in accordance with legal and ethical standardsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree or certificate program in paralegal studies.Paralegal certification is preferred5+ years of experience as a transactional paralegal, legal administrator or in-house corporate paralegal.Experience in claims management is strongly preferredMeticulous attention to detail and impeccable organizational skillsAbility to prioritize multiple competing projects while exercising sound judgment.Thorough knowledge of legal principles, practices, terminology, and research techniquesIn depth knowledge of local, state and federal laws and regulationsProficiency with legal and business software systems (e.g., contract management, claims systems, Microsoft Office)WORK ENVIRONMENT :
