What You’ll Be Doing :

As a Wire EDM Program Operator, you’ll take the lead in programming, setting up, and operating precision Wire EDM machines. You’ll oversee daily Wire Room operations, manage workflow, and ensure parts are cut to exact specifications. Your work will directly support tooling, production, and engineering while driving quality and efficiency.

A Day in the Life :

• Program Wire EDM machines using CAD / CAM software and configure setups based on blueprints
• Operate and monitor EDM equipment to produce precise parts from metals, alloys, and composites
• Troubleshoot machine issues (wire breaks, tolerances) to minimize downtime
• Prioritize workflow and act as “project leader” for assigned jobs in the Wire Room
• Inspect parts with micrometers and calipers to confirm quality and accuracy
• Perform routine maintenance and keep machines clean, calibrated, and running at peak performance
• Select and maintain wire and tooling while managing inventory
• Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve design challenges and process improvements
• Train and mentor junior operators to strengthen team skills
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain accurate records of setups, inspections, and maintenance
