Security Professional - Armed Corrections Patrol Driver

As a Security Professional - Armed Corrections Patrol Driver in Largo, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Corrections, and more.

Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer in a corrections environment, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure atmosphere. This position requires driving responsibilities and the carrying of a firearm. You will be highly visible, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors. Pay Rate : $22.50 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Mon 05 : 00 PM - 03 : 00 AM

Wed 05 : 00 PM - 03 : 00 AM

Thur 05 : 00 PM - 03 : 00 AM

Sun 05 : 00 PM - 03 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients and visitors within a corrections environment.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or incidents.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for corrections locations.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and / or prohibited items.
  • Communicate and collaborate with facility staff and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters and / or incidents.
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation of security-related activities, observations, and incidents as required.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed by site-specific procedures and Allied Universal protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Graduation from a law enforcement or military police training program or an equivalent program is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 21 years of age is required for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participation in industry-specific security training programs is required.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
