Our client in Fairfield, NJ is looking for an onsite, direct hire Manufacturing Industrial Engineer
The ideal candidate will have an engineering background in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, systems engineering, value engineering, or related fields, with concentrated technical knowledge and experience in precision metals and plastics manufacturing and / or complex finished device assemblies.
Responsibilities :
- Apply industrial engineering principles such as waste identification, value stream mapping, productivity optimization, kanban setups, takt time studies, labor tracking, ergonomics, material flow, pFMEA, and Lean Six Sigma tools.
- Support new business development by generating accurate and detailed costing proposals that meet or exceed customer expectations for quality, price, and delivery.
- Assist ongoing business with value analysis and value engineering initiatives, driving continuous improvement and iterative design proposals for cost savings, scalability, or vertical integration of existing products.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Systems, or Value Engineering).Minimum of 5 years of experience in value engineering, industrial engineering, manufacturing costing, or related roles within the manufacturing industry, with experience in industry 4.0 practices and / or Lean methodologies.Experience working for a Contract Manufacturer or OEM.Strong engineering background with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.Ability to identify optimal manufacturing processes.Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD / CAM software for estimating and DFM purposes.Experience in product-level design for manufacture (DFM).Understanding of regulatory and quality requirements for the MedTech industry (ISO13485, FDA, CFR820 Part 11, GxP, MedAccred).J-18808-Ljbffr
