• And much more\n\nPosition Summary\n\nThe Medical Group / Physician Services at Jackson Purchase Medical Center embodies a culture of teamwork and effective communication, essential for providing specialized care to critically ill patients. • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.\n
• Documents patient care given.\n
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.\n
• Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.\n
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual / psychosocial support needs.\n
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and / or family and provides patient / family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.\n
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.\n\nRequired Skills\n
• Critical thinking skills\n
• Decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.\n
• Capable of working in a stressful environment and taking appropriate action.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nEducation : \n
• Associate's degree required\n
• Bachelor's degree preferred\n\nCertifications : \n
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire\n
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hire\n\nLicense : \n
