Blake Thermal Sales & Service, Inc . is seeking a Service Manager professional to manage our customer relationships, our service technicians and support our sales organization. This position, based in our East Windsor, CT covers Connecticut, Western Massachusetts and Upstate New York. It requires a strong focus on customer service, service business management and teamwork. This is a great opportunity for someone who exhibits strong leadership, has practical field service experience, and a track record of successfully managing a team.

Participate in the management of a team; foster an atmosphere of teamwork; ensure appropriate expertise and resources are in place to meet requirements and respond to requests in a courteous, timely, and highly effective manner.Recruit, interview and hire technicians as required to meet workload demands, and company or customer expectations and requirements.Assist with technician training and development to ensure world class service is provided to all customers.Provide inspiration to ensure direct reports represent the company's core values.Communicate clear performance expectations and conduct performance reviews for direct reports.Assist our parts organization with parts identification to ensure prompt response to customer service needs.Look for continuous ways of improving operational efficiency and technician utilization, by assisting with the development and implementation of action plans and processes.Take responsibility for safety performance and program compliance.Work effectively with senior management to set goals that are aligned with the company's vision. Utilize key performance indicators (KPI) to track progress.Meet with customers in the service territory to ensure satisfaction and retention as well as prospects for additional service opportunities.Provide support to our resources in the field, assisting during emergencies, during high labor utilization and as needed.Qualifications :
At least 5 years of practical HVAC / Plumbing service experience.Possession of Connecticut "S" license is preferred.Proven knowledge of engineering principles and their application for maintenance of steam, hydronics, boilers, pumps, and associated equipment.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow through.Experience using service management software.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills; ability to positively represent Blake Thermal and communicate with others at varying technical levels.Requirements :
Complete all required paperwork neatly and in a timely fashion.Work extra hours in addition to normal schedule, when needed.Adhere to all company and OSHA work and safety rules.Work cohesively with senior management and colleagues.Requires us of company vehicles. Must be physically capable of operating the vehicle safely, possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record. DOT Medical Card may be required.Able to work quickly and accurately during times of stress.Able to climb ladders and lift up to 75 lbs.Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical drawings, specifications and detailed literature.Benefits :
