If so, we invite you to join the Beebe Healthcare team as a PACU RN and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care in the heart of Delaware.\n\nMinimum requirements for per diem once orientation is completed are : (please note there is availability to work more hours)\n\n1 shift per pay period\n\n1 weekend shift / month as designated by department needs\n\n1 summer and 1 winter holiday\n\nResponsibilities\n\nAs a PACU RN at Beebe Healthcare, you will : \n
- Deliver perioperative care through comprehensive nursing processes including assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.\n
- Safely identify, label, and dispense medications following established guidelines.\n
- Demonstrate expertise in insertion of intravenous lines and competency with LIS lab and Invision processes.\n
- Ensure proper handling, care, and accountability for all department supplies, instruments, and equipment.\n
- Collect, interpret, and communicate pertinent patient data for surgical patients.\n
- Provide direct patient care, meeting both physical and psychological needs during perioperative phases.\n
- Competently use Philips Cardiac Monitor and assist with airway assessment and management including O2 therapy and ventilator management.\n
- Perform thorough and accurate documentation of post-operative care.\n
- Apply critical thinking, prioritize duties, and demonstrate time management throughout the perioperative setting.\n
- Ensure proper collection, labeling, and processing of blood / urine specimens, ensuring timely delivery to the lab.\n
- Set up and monitor PA lines, including Cardiac Output, A-Line, CVP, and Swan-Ganz.\n\nQualifications\n
- Must possess current hospital experience (within the past 5 years)\n
- Prefer minimum of 1 year recent PACU or Critical Care or ED experience\n
- Must be knowledgeable regarding the nursing process and its application assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.\n
- At time of hire, we ask that you either have a current active PALS certification or obtain PALS Certification within the first 6 months of hire.\n\nCompetencies Skills\n\nEssential : \n
