The Director, In-Market Sales leads the planning, development, sales and execution of local domestic reseller accounts. We are looking for someone with a "hunter mentality" whose primary focus is new business development and managing the in market domestic reseller sales team in Orlando. Also responsible for leading the In-Market Task Force, providing leadership and strategic direction to all parks to optimize and grow revenue and attendance from in-market resellers. Responsible for all aspects of marketing and sales through key assigned in market accounts. Assure sales alignment with marketing and communications initiatives.
Park-Level Responsibilities
- Orlando Market Sales Leadership. Lead the domestic reseller sales team in Orlando and provide strategic direction and tactical execution to deliver account production for existing and new accounts. Work with corporate and park sales and marketing teams to implement marketing plans and pricing calendars to increase market share through local accounts. Develop annual, monthly, and weekly plans to drive revenue and achieve attendance targets. Work with corporate teams to launch promotions through top accounts. Make recommendations to leadership to drive growth. Lead Orlando in market sales accounts and channels as assigned. Pursue new channels of distribution to drive company growth.
- Travel industry relations. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external staff, industry partners, destination marketing organizations and agencies. Represent the company at various community and / or business meetings to promote the company.
- Ticket product / packaging development. Work closely with revenue management and marketing to launch, monitor, and grow account production for key accounts and channels as assigned. Monitor competitor offers to determine ideal product placement in each geographic market. Leverage distribution to amplify consumer direct offers while minimalizing cannibalization.
- Distribution platforms. Manage assigned projects to expand distribution in account and partnership channels. Partner with IT, Finance, Revenue Management to provide technology solutions for national account and partnership growth.
- Drive demand for parks. Leverage assigned channels to drive awareness and intent to visit, serving as an extension for marketing campaigns. Seek to position our parks for top tier exposure to drive maximum awareness. This includes reasons to visit, such as new attractions and consumer events.
- Create organized training plan for sales staff and in-market domestic reseller clients in product offerings.
- Organize and execute familiarization tours for in domestic reseller clients at Orlando parks.
Corporate-Level Responsibilities
Lead in Market Task Force by scheduling weekly meetings with all parks to provide strategic direction for PRKS in market sales. Share best practices, develop promotions, and provide leadership to grow in market revenue.Provide regular detailed reports with that show in market performance for all parks, and actions taken to improve channel sales by park.What It Takes To Succeed
Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience.A minimum of 3 years of sales experience in US travel industry sales, partnerships, hospitality, and tourism.A minimum of 3 years of successful functional leadership; experience to include developing and driving strategic direction and alignment, developing, managing financial targets, and leading a team.Experience in traditional and non-traditional sales channels and the application of technology.Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills, with executive level customers and partners.Must be able to work collaboratively with corporate and park teams, and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.Strong relationship management skills, with proven results generating business growth.Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills to include presenting to diverse audiences.Must have exceptional organizational and planning skills; ability to meet deadlines.Must have experience in coordinating vendor agreements and relationships.Must have high proficiency using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint to complete professional proposals, graphs and presentations.Experience in contract negotiations with both clients and legal counsel.Experience with digital distribution platforms a plus.What Else Is Important
Must have a valid Driver's license and able to meet company driving guidelines.Must be able to lift, push, pull and / or carry up to 50 lbs.Perform the following physical activities : kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist / waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools / keyboard / writing).Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat.Work regularly Monday through Friday but with flexibility based on business need to include weekends, evenings, and holidays.The Perks Of The Position
