Overview
CPH is seeking a talented entry-level to join our dynamic and highly collaborative land development team as a Project Engineer
The Project Engineer I supports project management activities by providing technical and administrative support throughout the project's lifecycle. This role involves assisting with project planning, design, and execution while gaining hands-on experience in best engineering practices and project management. The Project Engineer I is knowledgeable in engineering principles, has strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of project plans, including the scope of work, timeframe, and budget.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Assist in the design and development of engineering solutions, including drafting and drawings.
- Conduct inspections and quality control to maintain high standards.
- Conduct research and analysis to support project design and development.
- Ensure the design and engineering work complies with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and evaluation of proposals.
- Ensure the projects comply with engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
- Prepare and / or present progress reports, including updates on project status.
- Stay up to date with engineering technology and industry standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook, and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar software platforms.AutoCAD experience is a plus.Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement.Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.Education and Experience
B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field0-2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant experience.EIT / EI Certification or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hire.Basic knowledge of engineering principles, project management, and industry standards.Compensation & Benefits
