Associate Director of Requirements and Capabilities for Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD)
Raytheon is seeking an Associate Director of Requirements and Capabilities for Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) within the strategic business unit Naval Power (NP) strategic business unit and the Sub-Strategic Business Unit Shipboard Missiles (SBM). The Associate Director will be responsible for supporting an Integrated Air and Missile Defense missile campaign across the Standard Missile 2 and Standard Missile 6 families of weapons.
The Associate Director is responsible for identifying and understanding the market needs for growth, working with existing customers and establishing new customers, developing strategies and deploying tactics to execute and meet the Naval Power Shipboard Missiles long and short-term plans to support the US Navy and international partners.
The Associate Director reports to the Director, Requirements and Capabilities, Shipboard Missiles; and will provide direct support across several Shipboard Missile programs to provide a cohesive Integrated Air and Missile Defense portfolio for our customers. This Associate Director supports the development of the Standard Missile strategy, briefs leadership, and leads business development, opportunity shaping, proposal management and capture for the annual booking plan. The Associate Director will participate in assessing customers' wants and needs, as well as bringing broad market knowledge to assist in identification and qualification of new business opportunities. The Associate Director will lead the development of Senior Leader talking points, capability white papers, customer presentations, manage marketing materials consistent with Raytheon policy and Naval Power strategy and technology roadmaps.
The Associate Director will be the subject matter expert for US Navy and key international Navies partner Requirements & Capabilities and will serve as the leader for all actions, opportunities and customers across the Naval IAMD enterprise including organizations in Arlington, VA and Dahlgren, VA.
What You Will Do
- Formulate and lead competitive strategies to win pursuits : understand strategic environment, in particular, competitor strengths, weaknesses and strategies
- Execute competitor intelligence gathering efforts to help Raytheon Technologies' businesses better understand and counter competitor actions
- Coordinate growth strategy and customer engagements across multiple business units, US DoD services and international partners
- Support the Naval Power (NP) Requirements and Capabilities team to identify, and develop new business opportunities, and position new business resources to achieve NP growth
- Coordinate with functional leaders at NP and SBM and other associated programs on all activities related to meeting performance objectives and managing pursuits and supporting domestic and international effector captures, as needed
- Be the Shipboard Missiles customer lead for the Integrated Air and Missile Defense
- Build trust and sound relationships with customers and partners and clearly articulate to NP and SBM business leadership customer needs
- Support development and marketing strategies to achieve business goals aligned with customer plans and programs
- Focus on the customer, understand strategic environment, threat capabilities, problems, priorities, limitations, and requirements, defense effector capabilities and capacity gaps. Create opportunities to help develop requirements. Shape opportunities to explain and promote Raytheon solutions.
- Develop and implement internal and external customer contact plans
- Lead and support internal Raytheon Gate Reviews; conduct internal and external briefings Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State / Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies.
- Approximately 20% annual domestic and international travel for customer engagements and trade shows

Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum of 12 years' experience working with Department of Defense, or an Advanced Degree and minimum of 10 years' experienceMinimum of 10 years' experience in business development, program management, or government relations with Navy or Missile Defense Agency acquisitionFormer US Military Officer with experience supporting Integrated Air and Missile DefenseExperience with the US Military requirements development process and / or the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS)Experience with air defense system of systems to include sensors, launchers, effectors and combat management systemsQualifications We Prefer
