Payroll Specialist
Yelp is searching for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our dynamic Payroll team! This is a hands-on position responsible for all payroll and related responsibilities. The role works closely with Accounting, Finance, People and Technology teams. The Payroll Specialist will ensure accurate processing and recording of company's payroll for US and Canada and must have strong communication skills, customer service orientation, and attention to detail. This position will impact a rapidly growing organization and have exposure with team members at all organizational levels within Yelp. The successful applicant will be joining a fun, fast paced, high-growth company and will be involved in the on-going building and improving of payroll processes.

What You'll Do :
- Ensures proper processing of biweekly multi state payroll for 5000+ employees in US and Canada; process monthly and quarterly commission payrolls
- Process miscellaneous off cycle checks including final paycheck, severance, etc.
- Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely, to include salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions.
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate against confirmed reports
- Assist in auditing for Monthly / Quarterly / Year-end Payroll Close process, as needed
- Answer, set up and test all incoming garnishments for accurate deductions
- Effectively prioritize to ensure compliance and accurate record keeping and ensure payroll is processed in compliance with multi state wage and hour laws
- Timely resolve internal / external employee inquiries via ticketing system
- Assist with new hire and employee level location tax set ups
