Salary : $140,000 - $210,000 per year

A bit about us :

We're looking for an Associate Attorney to help support our department by researching legal issues and drafting legal documents such as briefs, motions and pleadings, conducting depositions, attending mediation, preparing cases for trial. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research, possess excellent writing skills and be creative enough to find solutions to new problems and be experienced in NYS Labor Law ( Construction) MVA, trip / slip and fall, premise and construction matters to handle cases from inception through trial.

Job Details

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications :

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

2. Admission to the state bar of New York.

3. A minimum of 2 year of experience as a defense attorney, specifically within the construction industry.

4. Knowledge of Labor Law 240 and 241 is a must

5. Proven experience in construction defense is ideal

6. Familiarity with OSHA regulations and standards.

7. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

9. Ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively within a team.

10. High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and gravitas.
