Overview
Consultant Development Program (Winter) at Tevora. Immersive paid-training program to strengthen technical and professional skills to enter the workforce as a full-time Information Security Associate. Start : December 21 – April 4. Locations : Irvine, CA, and Fairfax, VA (DC Local).
Base pay
Base pay range : $25.00 / hr - $28.00 / hr
What you will do
- Research emerging information security risk, privacy, and compliance topics for white papers and knowledge sharing
- Analyze client organizations to investigate and identify information security risks and security control vulnerabilities
- Assist with researching risk treatment and vulnerability remediation for client reports
- Join interviews with client subject matter experts to assist in data collection
- Assist in template and procedure creation for Compliance and Risk solutions
- Assist in report writing and delivery of client reports
- Learn about National and International standards, frameworks, and legislations that govern the industry (e.g., ISO 27000, SOC, HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR, NIST)
Solutions (SOL)
Plan technical execution plans to meet business requirementsGather requirements to complete execution plansExecute on previously designed plansDocument execution procedures and provide insights into the technologies involvedAssist Consultants with client engagementsNecessary skills and qualifications
Developing Consultant role within client-facing consulting teams; assist in project delivery across practice areas such as Enterprise Risk, Compliance, Solutions Implementation, and Threat ResearchInterns are expected to continually develop skills through personal development and Information Security industry participationKey responsibilities
Develop technical and business skills for billable project workLearn about industry-standard certifications and their benefitsLearn about standards and frameworks like PCI-DSS, HIPAA, ISO 27001Observe implementations of Enterprise Security SolutionsObserve and assist with internal and external penetration testing and social engineering projectsCandidate profile
Foundational familiarity with networking concepts (firewalls, routers, switches, DNS)Basic computer troubleshooting and server administrationBusiness planning and accounting knowledge; knowledge of compliance frameworks is a plusAbilities
