Regulatory Supervision is primarily responsible for the supervision of all U.S. sales and trading desks within Global Markets. The supervisory program is designed to reduce and manage regulatory risk by preventing violations from occurring as well as detecting when violations do occur. Regulatory Supervision is a business role (not Compliance) and is delegated the responsibility to supervise on behalf of Global Markets business heads. Complementing the specific responsibilities below, the role is charged with providing highly specialized advice and guidance on regulatory requirements applicable to the business lines and performing specific written supervisory procedures to achieve regulatory compliance. Regulatory Supervision must be highly responsive in a business environment where decisions have to be made in stressful, time-sensitive situations where information is often ambiguous and incomplete. The role is also expected to keep abreast of developments in an ever-changing regulatory environment and their impact on the business.

Supervise and conduct surveillance of the U.S. registered broker-dealer securities trading products, as well as OTC derivative / swap trading products, with primary focus on : Cash Equities, Program Trading, DMA, Listed / OTC Equity Derivatives, Delta1, ETF create / redeem.
Assist with surveillance of various regulatory reporting obligations, including : CAT, Nasdaq TRF, LOPR
Maintain and enhance the documentation of internal policies and Written Supervisory Procedures (WSPs) to comply with applicable trading regulations (SEC, FINRA, CFTC, NFA and others)
WSPs must clearly indicate "evidence of review" and documentation that will satisfy the regulators and any Self-Regulatory Organization; including, Key Performance Indicators and escalation
Provide specialized advice and guidance on transactional issues to trading floor personnel as well as Business Management and infrastructure partners
Promptly escalate significant issues and material incidents of non-compliance to the relevant Global Markets business head, senior Compliance officer and, if appropriate, head of US Global Markets for resolution including recommendations for corrective action
Collaborating with Project teams and infrastructure partners on the development and implementation of solutions to address existing and new regulatory requirements
Primary business contact responsible for assisting Compliance in preparing detailed responses to regulatory inquiries and examination requests
Monitor new and changing regulatory requirements on a timely basis and assess their potential impact
Ensure that employees responsible for trading securities are appropriately registered
Participate in appropriate industry committees and working groups
Work on special projects as assigned from time to time
Bachelor's degree
Minimum 5+ years' experience in handling securities and OTC derivative / swap compliance issues gained at an investment dealer, regulator or marketplace
Knowledge of SEC / FINRA / CFTC / NFA and other US based regulatory rules
Well-developed knowledge of trading practices and associated regulatory requirements
Working knowledge of industry standard trading technologies and vendor solutions
Excellent relationship-building skills
Effective written and oral communication and presentation skills
Ability to work in a challenging environment while exhibiting poise under severe conditions
Resourceful and creative problem-solving skills
SIE and Series 7, 57, 63 preferred
Good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel), Bloomberg, Python or other languages
Ability to manage competing priorities
