General Overview :
GoSaga is seeking a hands-on Senior Accounting Analyst to manage core accounting functions and support operational efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, proficiency in QuickBooks Online, and the ability to oversee bookkeeping, payroll inputs, and financial reporting across multiple brands. The ideal candidate will maintain accurate financial records, produce timely reports, and partner with leadership on budgeting and light financial strategy.
Key Responsibilities :
Bookkeeping and Accounting Services :
- Oversee day-to-day bookkeeping (managed in part by our virtual bookkeeper) while ensuring accuracy in accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Provide financial reports to each brand and leadership on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy in all financial transactions and records.
- Ensure all financial records comply with GAAP standards and internal control policies.
Operational and Financial Support :
Maintain oversight of financials across GoSaga and subsidiary brands, ensuring accuracy and consistency.Assist in preparing month-end close processes and financial statements.Partner with leadership on budgets, forecasts, and occasional special projects.Technology Utilization and Workflow Optimization :
Leverage technology tools, including QuickBooks Online (must-have), bill.com, banking systems, and brand POS systems Zenoti and Momence, to enhance efficiency and automate workflows.Adhere to company security protocols for handling confidential data, including the use of VPNs, password managers, and secure file-sharing systems.Required Qualifications :
35 years of progressive experience in accounting, with strong QuickBooks Online expertise.Knowledge of U.S. GAAP standards and ability to apply in day-to-day accounting tasks.Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Microsoft Excel.Experience with accrual-based accounting and financial reporting.Ability to manage multiple cash flows across various accounts.Proficiency in inventory accounting and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) calculations.Experience with gift card accounting, including tracking, redemptions, and liability reporting.Experience with deferred revenue and expense recognition preferred.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent organizational and time management abilities.Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of productivity.Join GoSagas dynamic team and contribute to a company that values innovation, efficiency, and exceptional service.
