What you will do
Performs assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. Responds to basic warranty calls.
How you will do it
Loads system-level controller softwareExperience in the commercial construction industry working on a job sitePerforms more complex commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.) and completes all required commissioning documentationKeeps management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issuesCalibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipmentCompletes administrative tasks including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentationDocuments changes and provides information for as-built documentationCommunicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work siteFollows all safety standards and attends required safety trainingWhat we look for
Two-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning, or a related field, or at least 3-5 years of industry experience or experience servicing electronic and / or mechanical systems in the HVAC industryKnowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation, and servicing techniquesEffective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers and other contacts in an ethical and professional mannerAbility to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people. Leadership skills to support activities of mechanics on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job sitePC experience and ability to program HVAC-related softwareExperience working in the commercial construction industryHIRING HOURLY RANGE : $27-$35 (Hourly rate to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data).
