Position Overview :
As the Lead for Marketing Intelligence and Analytics, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our sales and marketing efforts. This hybrid position focuses on analyzing performance metrics, identifying growth opportunities, and providing actionable insights into customer and market trends. Collaborate closely with our sales and marketing leadership to make informed decisions, enhance salesforce effectiveness, and elevate Composites One's position in the market.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop engaging dashboards to monitor key performance indicators such as revenue, gross margins, budget adherence, and customer performance.
Conduct in-depth analyses of sales trends, customer attrition, and product performance to uncover root causes.
Offer valuable insights at regional and segment levels to facilitate effective business reviews and sales planning.
Pioneer data-driven strategies to enhance market coverage and align costs with commercial objectives.
Analyze and interpret Net Promoter Score (NPS) feedback to generate actionable insights.
Work in partnership with Sales Enablement and Product Management to ensure the integrity of customer and product data.
Evaluate the success of marketing campaigns across digital platforms, delivering critical insights for improvement.
Sales Pipeline, Lead & Opportunity Management :
Analyze lead performance to pinpoint sources, conversion rates, and create dashboards for transparency.
Monitor CRM opportunity data to assess pipeline efficiency, win rates, and opportunities management.
Proactively identify gaps in pipeline coverage, offering strategic insights to sales managers.
Market & Competitive Intelligence :
Keep a watchful eye on competitors, assessing their activities, pricing strategies, and product launches.
Organize the collection of competitive intelligence and market share data from the field.
Map target markets, assess their size, and identify potential growth opportunities.
Work with IT to enhance data-gathering processes and systems.
Create detailed competitor profiles and track win / loss data effectively.
Maintain updated market share estimates to establish benchmarks and growth objectives.
Cross-Functional Alignment :
Lead structured debrief sessions on wins and losses with sales teams and customers.
Analyze quote conversion rates and provide insights for improvement.
Maintain a comprehensive deal outcome database to uncover trends by market segment, product, competitor, and sales phase.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, and Pricing to align intelligence strategies with commercial objectives.
Deliver insights to support territory planning, product portfolio decisions, and campaign target developments.
Expected Skills and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, or a comparable field.
At least 5 years of experience in sales analysis, business intelligence, or competitive intelligence.
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to transform data into actionable insights.
Self-motivated and comfortable working in a dynamic, performance-oriented culture.
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex analyses into clear business recommendations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong expertise in Excel and experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
Familiarity with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP).
Adept at leveraging Artificial Intelligence for generating accurate insights.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications :
Experience working within the B2B industrial distribution industry.
Proven track record of delivering insights to senior commercial leaders.
Knowledge of Competitive Intelligence tools (e.g., Klue, Crayon).
Travel :
Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.
The role features an annual base salary range of $105,000 - $125,000, influenced by factors like location, experience, skills, and qualifications. Alongside the base salary, employees may qualify for discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
