The Position :

Are you a manufacturing professional who enjoys both technical analysis and business strategy? We're seeking a Quotation Engineer / Estimator to develop accurate, compliant, and competitive quotations for complex manufacturing projects. This role is ideal for someone with a background in precision CNC machining, cost estimation, and a desire to improve quoting systems and tools. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all proposals meet tight tolerances, exotic materials, and regulatory requirements – primarily in the aerospace and defense sectors.

Job Duties :

• Review RFQs, engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, specifications, and technical documentation from clients and potential clients across multiple industries including aerospace, defense, power generation, rail, mining, etc.
• Analyze project scope and manufacturing requirements to develop detailed cost and time estimates, including labor, materials, machining, finishing, inspection and subcontract processes such as paint, coating, heat treatment, etc.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, procurement, and operations to ensure accurate and feasible quotations.
• Ensure quotes meet customer requirements and comply with AS9100, ITAR, DFARS, and other applicable standards or flow-downs.
• Prepare formal quotation packages, including pricing, delivery lead time, technical clarifications, and risk assessments.
• Participate in pre-award customer discussions, bid reviews, and cost justification meetings.
• Track quote activity and maintain customer contacts and milestones.
• Support pricing strategies for long-term agreements, blanket orders, and high-volume or legacy programs.
