Job Summary
The Professional Development Talent Consultant will serve as an integral part of the global Talent Team and is accountable for designing and executing a wide range of effective development, learning and performance support solutions to advance skills and capabilities across the Enterprise, creating measurable value to the organization.
The role will transform business priorities into employee-centric learning and development solutions that can be delivered at scale in a sustainable way.
The Professional Development Talent Consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing and evaluating professional development solutions to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees.
The role will also leverage talent insights to recommend development opportunities for all employees to advance our talent strategy and optimize the use of technology to enhance the employee development experience.
This is an individual contributor role that will assist with diagnosing, co-designing, guiding and / or facilitating professional development experiences as business needs require, and is responsible for collaborating across businesses and functions to recommend data-driven solutions.
Primary Job Responsibilities
Consultation
- Consult with people business partners, subject matter experts and key stakeholders to understand business / performance objectives, determine appropriate needs and recommend learning and development solutions on current and future priorities and skills
- Build a deep understanding of the business (where we are, where we are headed, strengths and challenges) and strong business relationships so that we are best positioned to diagnose current and anticipate future learning and development needs
Solution design and development
- Own the design and build (or procurement of) and implementation of fit-for-purpose, cost-effective, sustainable solutions, leveraging a digital first approach when appropriate for professional development based on identified organization needs
- Assess the efficacy of solutions by defining and tracking how impact and outcomes will be measured, continuously improving programs and processes to increase value over time
- Keep up to date on best practices, industry and digital trends as it relates to professional development and work across the Talent Function to ensure we develop high quality learning and development programs and solutions
Facilitation
- Facilitate live learning (virtual or in-person) on learning and development solutions available as necessary
- Demonstrate expert presentation, time-management and organizational skills when leading events
Project management and communication
- Proactively keep key stakeholders informed of plans and progress, and remain informed of what solutions are available, when and how to access
- Develop detailed project plans, plan and track deliverables to ensure quality goals and timelines (promised to the business) are achieved
- Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and talent enablement team and ensure that deliverables meet all quality standards and timeline agreements
- Conduct and participate in project review meetings

Technology : Digitally-savvy, is aware of and keeps pace with technology that can be used to deliver innovative learning and development solutions
Facilitation : Ability to present to, engage, and communicate to global audiences at all levels (virtual and in-person)
Organization : Managing a portfolio of projects and being adept at focusing on shifting business priorities
Measurement : Analyzing performance metrics to ensure program and solution performance meet original goals
Business acumen : Understanding key business drivers that impact performance
Influencing : Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and leveraging these relationships to get things done
Collaboration : Seeking opinions / thoughts of others and engaging colleagues and peers when designing solutions
Additional Requirements
- 3 - 5 years working in a global L&D function
- 2+ years using Workday’s talent module to achieve learning and development objectives
- 3 - 5 years working with a focus on Consultation, Defining Learning & Development Solutions, Facilitation, Design, Project Management and Evaluation
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced organization
- Has worked for a Global, Fortune 500 company across different time-zones and different languages
- Familiarity with Workday LMS and other HR / learning platforms
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
