Corporate Compliance & Privacy Officer

We are seeking a dedicated Healthcare Compliance and Privacy Officer to join our team, where you will play a pivotal role in upholding the integrity and confidentiality of our healthcare services.

Job Responsibilities

  • Oversee a comprehensive healthcare compliance program that aligns with federal and state regulations, industry standards, and best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations related to healthcare compliance and privacy, including HIPAA and other applicable statutes.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.
  • Establish and manage a process for receiving, documenting, tracking, investigating, and taking action on all complaints concerning the organization's health compliance policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate channels for investigation and resolution.
  • Monitor the performance of the healthcare compliance program and related activities on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.
  • Serve as the organization's Privacy Officer, ensuring the confidentiality and protection of patient health information.
  • Develop, review, and revise policies and procedures to ensure they meet compliance and privacy standards.
  • Manage internal compliance and privacy audits and coordinate with external audit entities when necessary.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or related field required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Three to Five years of Hospital Management experience.
  • Health Care Compliance Certification : CHC or CHPC required or obtained within one year of hire.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with strong communication skills.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal laws to include Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, False Claims Act, HIPAA regulations.
  • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, EHR).

Working Conditions

Standard office environment.

Physical Requirements

Standing, walking, bending and sitting at a desk for variable periods of time working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
