What You'll Do : As a Financial Services Operations Trainer, you will facilitate ongoing and instructor-led learning programs to develop Financial Services Operations personnel, while providing excellent service to internal customers.

This trainer will assist with gathering and analyzing information to determine learning needs and evaluate training programs, materials, and trainee performance. You will also :

• Facilitate learning solutions, preparing plans according to adult learning theory and providing a high-impact, interactive environment.
• Identify learning needs within assigned business units & develop professional, collaborative relationships with business unit leaders.
• Develop and implement learning curriculum that's consistent with current trends and best practices.
• Track and analyze learning curriculum effectiveness including the evaluation of individual performances. You will then provide this reporting to business area and Operations management.
• Communicate effectively with subject matter experts, business partners, and design staff.
• Maintain current business knowledge - staying up to date on operational system enhancements and updates, and products in order to be up to speed on potential training topics & techniques.

What It Takes to Join Our Team :

• Bachelor's degree plus five years relevant experience required. Insurance / financial service and sales or related experience preferred.
• Two years of business experience with developing and delivering training solutions preferred and / or certification in training and / or organizational development preferred.
• Progress towards industry credentials (e.g., Life and Health License, FINRA SIE, Series 7, and 63) are encouraged and supported.
• Progress towards industry designations, e.g. LOMA FLMI, are also encouraged and supported.
• Must have excellent motivational and interpersonal skills.
• Strong presentation and classroom management skills as well as organizational & time management skills.
• Must be able to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.
• Must be able to work 8am-4 : 30pm Monday - Friday from our office in West Des Moines, IA.
