Job Summary :
To perform various administrative and technical tasks that will assist the claims department in handling claims.
Job Duties
Notice of Loss : Review email and attachments received in the Notice of Loss mailbox to determine insured name, policy number and policy type and handle as required (request additional information, forward to Claims for review or forward for claim setup).
Claim File Setup : Accurately set up claim files in iVOS and / or GENIUS, including assigning the claim to a claims analyst, attaching policy documents from the Dragon underwriting system, and issuing acknowledgement letters.
All claims received by 3pm should be set up and assigned within the same business day.
Claims Project Support : Prompt and effective response to department assignments including producing electronic claim files, correcting and updating information in the claim file, and assistance with various other projects and administrative tasks.
Cross-Functional Back-up Support : Ability to provide back-up to other Claim Assistants as required including all claim file setups, creation of loss runs for internal or external distribution, mail distribution, etc.
Payment Entering Process : Enter payments in the iVOS and Genius claims systems accurately and timely. If received prior to 4 pm, payment should be entered that day.
Payment corrections and recoveries : Enter payment corrections and recoveries in iVOS and Genius claims systems accurately and timely.
