Performs all phases of maintenance, cleaning, and repairs to facilities, grounds and equipment. Operates and maintains all types of equipment including hand and power tools, mowers and tractors.

Performs administrative and customer service duties including purchasing supplies, materials, preparing reports and providing visitor services.

Assists with enforcement of park rules and regulations. Coordinates the work of hourly and volunteer workers. Serves as the Back-up Utility Plant Operator (UPO) and assists in the operation, maintenance and repair of the water utility system.

Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures. Qualifications : MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS : Education : Graduation from High School or GED.

• Experience : Three years of facility, equipment or grounds maintenance experience. Licensure : Must possess or be able to obtain, within 30 days of employment, a valid State drivers license;
• Must possess or be able to obtain, within one year of employment, a class "D" Water and class D Wastewater license issued by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ);

NOTE : Retention of position contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required licenses and compliance with the Texas Commission on Environmental Qualitys (TCEQ) Criminal Conviction Guidelines.

ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTIONS : Experience : Thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university may substitute for one year of the required experience, with a maximum substitution of two years.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Experience : Three years of general maintenance experience in areas such as : repairing buildings, equipment, plumbing, or electrical systems OR grounds maintenance experience in areas such as : operating lawn mowers, tractors, trucks, power or hand tools;
