Vice President, Business Development
CVC Search is retained on a Vice President, Business Development role with a growing and established client that operates as a one-stop shop precision fabricator that possesses in-house intermediary manufacturing steps and assembly & finishing capabilities to produce fully finished products ready for end users across multiple markets.
The Vice President of Business Development will be responsible for overseeing and executing the company’s growth strategy, plans, and processes that will drive organic growth, increase margins, and expand markets to achieve company financial targets.
This role will have additional responsibility for identifying priority market segments, partners, customers, and coordination of internal cross functional areas to drive new product introductions.
Additional responsibilities will include :
- Strategic development of target end markets, priority customers, and product needs.
- Research and analysis of various target markets, trends, competitiveness, and product offerings.
- Oversees financial feasibility studies, proposal development, and negotiations for new business development opportunities.
- Nurtures and creates a wide network of contacts to keep informed about current and future market trends.
- Door opener for new business opportunity expansion.
- Build on what works and changing what doesn’t with key customers.
- Collaborates cross functionally internally to support product launches and new business development plans.
- Leads sales and client relationship team.
- Fosters and works to maintain entrepreneurial growth culture.
- Travels to key customers, partners, and events to support growth.
- Provides advice on product development and promotional strategies.
- Responsible for meeting financial growth targets of the business.
The right person for this role must be capable of adding value in multiple areas across the Company and will have worked in smaller, nimble organizations with engineered products where you have both built and fully executed a growth strategy.
Additionally, you will have :
Strong technical aptitude : including understanding of manufacturing and engineering and preferably metals. Customer Focus : Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time. Growth Oriented Mentality : Track record of driving significant growth.
Entrepreneurial spirit : Entrepreneurial minded and comfortable driving fast paced, high performance sales initiatives. The person needs to be comfortable in a small and nimble organization.
Strategic perspective : Able to meaningfully participate in developing strategies to support a rapid growth plan. Proven work experience in driving growth via market and product expansion.
Leadership ability : Propensity to take responsibility, move forward, and encourage others to share the vision; will possess the qualities that inspire confidence and trust;
must have a strong drive to win , and a desire to take the organization to the next level. High integrity : Must be an open person who will quickly win the trust of the entire organization.
Education : Degree from an accredited Four-Year College with an emphasis in Business, Marketing, or Engineering preferred.
