IHM Senior Living Community in Monroe is currently seeking a Human Resources Director . The Human Resources Director will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions at the site level, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals, people-related practices and culture and values.
This role involves implementing Human Resources policies, managing employee relations, and cultivating a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Executive Director and with a solid tie to the Saint Therese Chief People and Culture Officer, the Human Resources Director will play a key role in the support of the culture at the site and ensuring a positive employee experience.
This role will provide day to day developmental and administrative human resource support and employee relation practices (to interpret and administer human resource policies and procedures in a fair, equitable and efficient manner).
- Provides oversight and coordination with the human resource systems and employee relation practices campus wide.
- Oversees site level recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes to attract and retain top talent who are aligned with our mission and values.
- Support and implement talent development programs, including training and development and performance management.
- Ensures compliance with existing legal employment requirements both individually and through communication and training of department and location managers.
- Co-coordinates the campus Work Comp, Loss Control, and Safety programs.
- Monitors and reports on key HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives and inform decision-making.
- Actively supports organizational change initiatives, ensuring effective communication and minimizing disruption.
- Promotes a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.
- Regularly monitors compensation benefits practices to ensure they are competitive and aligned with company objectives and the market.
- Fosters a positive workplace culture by promoting employee engagement and addressing employee concerns. Manages conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance processes in compliance with the organizational and sites policies and legal requirements.
Education and Experience : Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR or other advanced Human Resources certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
- Experience with EOS (Operating System) a plus
- Experience in non-profit or health care related field preferred
Special knowledge, skills, and abilities :
- Proficient and knowledgeable in multiple human resource disciplines including compensation and benefits practices, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, federal and state employment laws, training, and development.
- Hands-on, self-starter.
- Effective communication skills, including listening, writing, presenting, facilitating, coaching, and leading.
- Experience in cultivating the culture of an organization.
- Demonstrated change and project management abilities.
- Ability to work as part of a team and to work effectively with all departments and senior management.
- Excellent MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities.
- Experience in interpreting and applying department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Effective time management, prioritization, and critical thinking skills.
