The Senior Financial Analyst will report to the Senior Director of Markets Finance and will support Medica's Joint Venture partnership with SSM Health. This position will be an integral partner to the Joint Venture business, working closely with product and market leaders and routinely engaging with external strategic partners.

The Senior Financial Analyst will be responsible for relevant financial analysis, reporting, accounting close support, forecasting, budgeting and ad hoc analyses to support the Joint Venture. This position will encompass presenting financial performance to key leadership stakeholders as well as help formulate realistic go-forward strategies including traditional at-risk products and value-based products. The Senior Financial Analyst will often need to take lead on the collection and compilation of data and partnering with key cross-functional stakeholders to execute on strategic initiatives to improve financial performance. Performs other duties as assigned.

Key Accountabilities

• Collaborate with Joint Venture leadership team to drive business growth objectives for products being offered and designed. Focus will include pricing, sales, network configuration and administrative efficiencies
• Own and lead forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-term plan development for all business segments. Regular forecasting and budgeting updates will be made throughout the year covering the entire P&L for the Joint Venture
• Represent the needs and requirements of the Joint Venture to understand and influence decisions in the development of trend reporting, cost saving initiatives, operational and platform performance and non-claims medical expenses
• Lead Joint Venture initiatives and evaluate financial performance of key decisions. Examples of such initiatives could include Affordability and Health Management programs, acquisitions, outsourcing arrangements and value-based care offerings

This position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite at our Minnetonka, MN office, on average, 3 days per week.

The full salary grade for this position is $98,400 - $168,600. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $98,400 - $147,525. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and / or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
