A day in the life of the Recruitment Specialist :
The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for developing and executing effective recruitment and sales strategies to increase awareness of, and participation in, Girl Scouts using marketing sales campaigns and a variety of networking opportunities with community organizations, corporations, schools, educators, faith-based institutions, and other community partners.
This role requires a persuasive communicator with strong sales and outreach skills to implement effective recruitment strategies, focusing on growing girl and adult membership, primarily in the Wasatch Front, Utah County, and Southern Utah.
This is a purposeful, goal-oriented position that involves community engagement, partnership building, event hosting, and support for new troop leaders.
Extensive travel throughout the assigned area and flexible schedules are required.
The Recruitment Specialist Key Accountabilities are in the following areas :
Recruitment & Lead Generation Design and execute short- and long-term strategies to recruit new members and volunteers in targeted areas.
Community Engagement & Partnerships : Increase awareness to positively impact membership growth by engaging in the community, collaborating with schools, faith-based institutions, and businesses.
Troop & Volunteer Support : Support the ongoing development of volunteers and leaders.
Event Hosting : Organize and host recruitment and retention events to meet membership goals and increase community involvement.
Inclusion & Diversity : Ensure that Girl Scouting remains inclusive and open to all girls and adults. Promote the values of inclusion and diversity in all outreach activities.
Qualifications :
Education & Experience :
- 1-3 years of proven success in membership, recruitment, or sales.
- Excellent public speaking and presentation abilities.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management systems (Salesforce preferred).
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Skills :
- Goal-oriented and results-driven, with experience working in diverse environments.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Capable of receiving and implementing feedback effectively.
- Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective interdepartmental relationships.
- Collaborative, transparent, and inclusive work approach.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- A commitment and passion for the Girl Scout mission and an ability to effectively promote and communicate the mission and vision of Girl Scouts to internal and external stakeholders.
- Bilingual Spanish speaking preferred, but not required.
