The Orlando Economic Partnership (the Partnership) is a public / private, not-for-profit economic and community development organization that supports the Orlando region.
The Partnership works to strengthen the region's economy, amplify Orlando’s story, champion regional priorities, empower community leaders and build a brilliant region.
By injecting new resources and fresh perspectives, the Partnership harnesses the strength of the region’s culture of collaboration and innovation to create a new future for a diverse and growing population with a goal of advancing broad-based prosperity for the Orlando region.
The Corporate Engagement team is responsible for revenue generation and engagement of all Partnership investors around our mission to advance Broad-Based Prosperity.
GENERAL
This job description is intended primarily as an illustration of the type of work to be performed by the Director. The Director is a member of the Corporate Engagement team and reports to the Senior Director of Corporate Engagement.
Partnership employees are expected to provide their unique talents and abilities to solve specific problems or to address specific questions outside their job description related either to their team’s mission or in support of an organizational goal.
They may be asked to participate in a variety of ad-hoc assignments and are expected to be flexible in their work practices and supportive of other team members.
The Director is expected to be a critical thinker and contribute relevant input into team tactics, technical systems, and procedures and always conduct themselves in a professional manner.
All employees of the Partnership are expected to familiarize themselves with the Partnership Personnel Manual and to conduct themselves in accordance with its policies and procedures.
Required Competencies :
- Corporate Engagement & Strategy Development
- Implement regional investment strategies with the ability to successfully contribute to the team securing $6 million in private investment annually.
- Leverage industry insights to craft and implement engagement plans, driving significant investor participation and commitment and furthering the OEP’s mission.
- Mission-Led Sales & Revenue Generation
- Execute a mission-driven sales strategy, aligning investor engagement with economic and community development goals.
- Grow revenue generation efforts, resulting in sustained financial support from key stakeholders by sourcing new top-tier investor relationships and upselling existing ones.
- Analyze regional markets to identify trends and opportunities for growth in the greater Orlando market including but not limited to Seminole and Osceola Counties.
- Manage sponsorship strategy.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Manage and facilitate annual revenue meetings, ensuring transparent communication and accountability in investment billing processes.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with Central Florida’s business executives, reinforcing the organization’s value proposition.
- Evolve investor partnerships to deepen local impact.
- Public Speaking & Advocacy
- Regularly represent the organization’s mission and value proposition at regional events, enhancing visibility and stakeholder engagement.
Preferred Skills
- Salesforce & Sponsorship Development
- Proficient in Salesforce for managing investor relationships and tracking engagement metrics.
- Experience in executing sponsorship strategies to support signature events.
