Founded in 1971 in Long Island City, Queens, LaGuardia Community College is one of seven community colleges of the City University of New York / CUNY.
In 2019, LaGuardia served over 30,000 students in pre-college, associate degree, and continuing education programs. Major areas of study include Health Sciences, STEM, Business and Technology, and Liberal Arts.
Consistent with the diversity of Queens, 56 percent of LaGuardia students are born outside of the United States. More than half are first-generation college students.
Sixty-nine percent live in Queens; the rest come from Brooklyn and beyond. Virtually all LaGuardia students are ethnic minorities (88 percent), 58 percent are women, and 31 percent are over the age of 25.
Forty-eight percent of LaGuardia students are Hispanic, making the college a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI). Sixty-six percent of LaGuardia students receive financial aid.
Slightly less than half attend part-time, often because they need to work to support their families. LaGuardia ranked fifth among U.
S. community colleges in economic mobility moving low-income students into the middle class and beyond in a 2017 Stanford University study.

Reporting to the Associate Registrar, the Enrollment Registrar Coordinator for Course Scheduling will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following :
Schedule and maintain the Schedule of Classes for the entire college;
Develops and drafts production calendars, processes, and procedures for creation and maintenance of the Schedule of Classes
- Collaborates closely with the Course Catalog Coordinator ensuring relevant catalog changes on the Academic University Report Detail are updated to the class offerings;
- Coordinates and maintains all enrollment requirements for clusters, pairs, hybrid online and honors courses;
- Administers class cancellations and any connected registration activity;
- Manages the Independent Study / Individualized Study program;
Coordinates shared usage spaces in collaboration with Adult and Continuing Education.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Strong written, interpersonal, technical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge and experience in managing course requisites in PeopleSoft (CUNYFirst) or similar system.
Experience in using Coursedog or similar room scheduling system.
Experience in running and / or developing queries using PeopleSoft and MS Excel.

Provides advice on academic and administrative registration requirements
Interprets and communicates academic, registration and enrollment policies and procedures
Assists with registration and provides information to prospective and enrolled students in registration and records-related areas
Complies, generates, and updates various reports, catalogs, and inventories
Maintains compliance with established record release procedures, including the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Collaborates with College and University offices to address inquires and concerns and resolve student registration and record problems
May participate in activities related to course scheduling and maintaining course databases
May monitor and revise the content of web pages and other communication materials
Performs related duties as assigned.
