THIS IS AN ONSITE POSITION - NO REMOTE WORK POSSIBLE

Job Summary : This position will assist in budgeting, forecasting, monthly and annually closing and reporting of financial data for the Hopkinsville plant.

Required Qualifications :

  • Accounting degree and experience- Bachelor's and 2 years related experience
  • Account reconciliations and general accounting knowledge.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and spreadsheets.
  • Experience analyzing information, problem solving, data entry, and verbal communication
  • Attention to detail, confidentiality, thoroughness, Financial Software, and organization
  • AS400, CMS / Epicore Software experience

Responsibilities : Payroll

Payroll

  • Completes both Hourly and Salary Payroll with great confidence and accuracy and proper recording to the general ledger
  • Import all timecards / time sheets into payroll software on a weekly basis
  • Figure and Record all Payroll manual adjustments
  • Provide payroll reporting (manual / system generated) analyzing hour and cost details
  • Prepare Monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Cash

  • Complete daily Cash transactions and prepare daily needed journal entries
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Fixed Assets

  • New Capital submission and tracking
  • Prepare requested open project reports
  • Monthly CIP reporting
  • Close Fixed asset module and recording Monthly Depreciation
  • Prepare forecast and budget depreciation schedules
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations

Inter Company

  • Completes and reconciles intercompany transactions monthly
  • Working closely with other internal team and Martinrea plants to balance all transactions
  • Prepare Monthly balance sheet reconciliations

General :

  • Assist with month end close and complete reconciliations : Tax journals, prepaid expenses, etc.
  • Ability to resolve financial issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Accuracy of reports and ledger entries
  • Timeliness of reports and ledger entries
  • Competency Level 2 includes all intermediate understanding of the processes and interactions as determined by the leadership team

Working Conditions

90% Office Environment / 10% Plant Floor (PPE required)

Effort / Physical Demands

  • Constant communication with employees, peers, and management
  • Overtime as required

Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company
