What you'll do...

Walmart continues to grow an elite Information Security team and is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Vulnerability Scanning Engineer to join our Anomaly and Vulnerability Identification practice! Walmart InfoSec is on the cutting edge of many security issues for a wide variety of platforms and technologies including cloud services, Internet of things (IoT), identity and access management, mobile devices, virtualization, AI and Robotics and custom hardware, all operating at massive scale within our global network.

As a Senior Vulnerability Scanning Engineer, you will combine software engineering expertise with deep technical knowledge of information security infrastructure.

You will use your programming ability to build solutions and automations that will accelerate our security practice. This is an opportunity for someone looking for the perfect intersection of software engineering, infrastructure management and information security.

What you'll do :

Program and write scripts. Daily programming and writing scripts to automate recurring tasks. Develop proof of concept code.

Utilize various programming languages.

Build, deploy, and operate security testing infrastructure, tools, and services to enable security testing and vulnerability identification practices.

Collaborate closely and effectively with security, platforms, and engineering teams to enable security testing and vulnerability identification capabilities.

Build data analytics and metrics to track the effectiveness of various security controls.

Apply industry standard techniques to ensure secure system design, deployment, and operational excellence.

Plan, schedule, and complete security testing infrastructure and tools upgrades.

Monitor and resolve issues with security testing infrastructure, tools, and services to ensure stability and availability for the security testing practice.

Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to solve complex problems logically and systematically.

What you'll bring :

Strong proficiency in various programming languages.

Passion for developing relevant security solutions that are agile and perform at scale.

4-6 years troubleshooting information security infrastructure.

4-6 years performing vulnerability scanning and / or identification.

Proactive mindset to identify and solve problems with automation to drive efficiency and productivity.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1 : Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 3years’ experience in vulnerability scanning, or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Option 2 : 5 years’ experience in vulnerability scanning or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Preferred Qualifications...

Certification in Security+, Network+, GISF, GSEC, CISSP, or CCSP, Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 1 year’s experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.

2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
